Notes from the Pastor

A Message from Father Joe:

Welcome to Our Lady of the Mountain website.  Please look around the site and discover more about our parish community.  If there is any information that you cannot find,  please contact our office and the staff will be willing to help you.

Six months ago (July 2011) I was appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Mountain along with my continuing duties as pastor of St. Mark's Parish two miles away.  The past months have been a time of adjustment and challenge for me as I discover by trial and error how best to minister as pastor to both parishes.  A Catholic Church community depends upon a good number of people working together.  I appreciate Father Abuchi, my associate priest, the staff and all our volunteers who work so hard to keep things running smoothly at OLM.  I certainly appreciate the parishioners of OLM who have been very faithful and dedicated for many years and continue to be.

As the year 2012 unfolds before us, I pray that it will be a year filled with many blessings for our parish.
